Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions Answered for your convenience.

Can you start midterm or midyear?

Yes! While it’s often easiest to begin at the start of a term or school year, we understand that’s not always possible. We consider a ‘term’ to be 10 weeks and a ‘year’ to be 40 weeks. You’re welcome to join at any point—just chat with your Step Up tutor to find a schedule that works best for you.

What if I need to cancel a session?

We understand that life happens! Just give us at least 24 hours’ notice, and we’ll reschedule your session at no extra cost. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a fee.

How do I track my/ my child's progress?

We provide updates after every lesson. If you would like to share the update with someone else just let us know and we will add them to your child's email update group.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple! Just reach out via our website or give us a call to book your free, no-obligation consultation. We’ll have a chat about what your child is needing and how Step Up Learning can support their growth.

What grade level do you tutor?

All of our tutors are trained to teach Prep to year 12. If you have a child outside of this age group, get in contact and we will see if we can help out.

How are your tutors selected?

All of our tutors have a wealth of experience working in the Child Safety sector as well as quality experience with providing an education linked to the Australian curriculum.
